Tour starts in San Pedro Sula
Day 01: Arrival – San Pedro Sula.
Arrive into San Pedro Sula at transfer to your city hotel. During the day, city tour and shopping at Guamilito Arts & Crafts Market, which offers the most complete selection of Honduran handicrafts in San Pedro Sula. The market is also a good place for vegetables and flowers. Dinner at typical restaurant. Overnight at Hotel Real Intercontinental or similar
Day 02: San Pedro Sula – Tela – La Ceiba.
After breakfast depart early to the city of Tela and Tour to Jeannette Kawas (Punta Sal) National
Park, A fantastic park with abundant bird life, including the Lagoon of Los Micos. In Tela you will go on board of a motorboat which will take you to the Park. En route, with some luck you will see dolphins. There is a 25 minutes hike over flat land to arrive at the very secluded cove of Puerto Escondido, reputed to have been a pirate hang out, where you will aboard the boat back. You may see different birds and with luck, some of the noisy howler monkeys. Lunch will be served at a pretty beach. Afternoon depart to Pico Bonito. In La Ceiba Overnight in the Lodge at Bonito Lodge
Day 03: La Ceiba.
Visit to Pico Bonito National Park. Optionally do the Canopy Tour or the Hiking Tour. Unquestionably one of the most diverse parks in Honduras, Pico Bonito covers an extension of land that goes from sea level to as high as 2,378 meters boasting the largest change of altitude in Honduras. As you climb up into the mountain, you will find incredible views of the Caribbean coast, and if you climb high enough, you will even see the Bay Islands in the distance. Day 04: La Ceiba – San Pedro Sula – Copán.
Breakfast and transfer to Copán Ruinas (4.5hr drive). Visit to Finca Santa Isabel for the Copán Coffee Tour, this is a “hands–on” experience where you will learn all about shade–grown coffee, beginning with the plant nursery where young coffee plants are grown and as we continue our hike up the mountains through the exuberant green plantation under magnificent trees, we will show you the harvesting and finally the processing of this bean. As shade coffee farms support over 150 species of birds you will also have the opportunity to watch birds and to take amazing jungle photos as you hike the different trails. During our lunch break, you will enjoy the typical Honduran food and this peaceful place. Traditional Copán Dinner. Overnight at Hotel Marina Copán or similar
Day 05: Copán
After Breakfast and visit the Copán Archaeological Park, with its monumental Hieroglyphic Stairway; the Ball Court, considered to be the social center of the Mayan city; the Great Plaza, famous for its stelae and altars; as well as the Museum of Mayan Sculpture, acclaimed by experts as unique in the Maya World. A masterpiece within the museum is the exact size replica of the famed Rosalila Temple, discovered in 1989. Las Sepulturas Residential Area, Just down the road from Copán. This residential site most likely provided housing for Copán nobles. Afternoon Tour to Hacienda San Lucas, starting at your hotel crossing the Copán River you will be taken to a small Archaeological Site called Los Sapos. From this restored 100 year–old farmhouse you will get lovely views of the town and the valley. Overnight at HotelMarina Copán or similar
Day 06: Copán – San Pedro Sula – departure.
Breakfast and return to San Pedro Sula to board international departure Flight
